The more fruit and veg you buy and eat, the better. This is the simplest advice but is at the root of pretty much every half decent 'diet' company and book going. We feel that the more fruit and veg you can eat via soups, smoothies, fresh juices, fruit salads, savoury salads, vegetarian stews and casseroles, pasta dishes and curries, the less you need to worry about your weight. This is probably nothing you don't already know but is food for thought.
Start by eating your fruit and veg early in the day. It’s a good idea to eat something fresh and raw with every meal, so fruit with breakfast, salad with lunch, crudités or a piece of fruit as a snack and veggies or a salad with dinner. By adding soups and smoothies to this routine, you will soon be eating the recommended 5 – 10 pieces of fruit and veg a day.
